2007 was another record year for Multi-Chem. The company was, again, the fastest growing production chemicals company with a growth in excess of 70%. In fact, in 2007 Multi-Chem became the fourth largest oilfield production chemicals company in the world.

Despite our growth, we are earnestly pursuing opportunities in many markets. Our ability to pursue such opportunities will be driven by our ability to attract, develop, and retain the right people to our company. People who not only are qualified but who also align with our core values of ethics, commitment, excellence and innovation. Our plans are to hire 130 to 160 Canadian employees over the next 5 years.

Western Canada is a significant component of Multi-Chem’s international growth strategy. The specific markets that will be the focus of our initial efforts will be: In Alberta, Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Brooks, Stettler, Red Deer, Edson, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Slave Lake, Whitecourt, Lloydminster, Bonnyville, Ft. McMurray, Drayton Valley, Rocky Mountain House, and Rainbow Lake. Also Estevan, Saskatchewan and Ft. St. John, British Columbia. Our country headquarters will be located in Calgary.

To support our strategy, we are currently interviewing for the following positions: Country Vice President, Operations Manager, Region and Area Managers, Corporate Account Executives, Technical Service Representatives, Region Business Support Services Manager, Executive Assistants, Warehouse Managers, Accounting, Finance, and Human Resource professionals, Recruiting Managers, Sales and Service Representatives, Technical Service Supervisors, Field Technical Representatives, Treater Truck and Delivery drivers. As the market matures, additional functions will be needed.

Currently, the Canadian production chemical market is greater than $400 million annually and growing at 25 to 30 percent per year. By working hard to gain the support of our customers, Multi-Chem’s goal is to capture 20% of the Canadian production chemicals market in the next 5 years.
